Grove New York

Grove, lifestyle boutique du jour, recently opened bringing fresh home décor, fragrance and florals to the West Village.

groveGrove Custom Pillows

This charming store introduces home décor at it’s finest with a rare collection of glassware, tableware, cashmere throws and one-of-a-kind vintage scarves, which Grove has transformed into luxurious throw pillows. You can even bring in your own Hermes or Pucci to be reconstructed into a fabulous accent pillow for your home!
The hallmark of this enchanting boutique is the Flower Bar. Customers select from a seasonal assortment of fresh flowers, specially prepared by Sarah herself or in-house designer Bobby. Arrangements are made to order while you shop, or if you prefer, can be delivered anywhere in Manhattan. Our choice gift is their signature crate filled with a gorgeous array of flowers accompanied by a Grove candle (pictured below).

Georgia Tapert Living

Georgia Tapert’s namesake home decor boutique recently opened its doors in Soho. Georgia has brought her design assistant experience and her passion for collecting treasures from around the world to her store, resulting in a fresh and well-edited selection with a wide variety of price points. A pair of Dorothy Draper designed screens ($9,000) and Andy Warhol drawings ($17,000) sit comfortably among Italian cotton herringbone throws from Lands Down Under (at only $110 and with a feel that the owner believes ”you would swear is cashmere”, they are a steal!).

The store is a great spot to pick up gifts: a cool memo pad with a silver-plated cover for your host/hostess ($25), a few Oscar de la Renta ikat photo frames for a friend’s birthday ($75-$110), or if you are in search of a wedding gift try architect designed FTF bamboo and Corian serving trays and butcher blocks ($375-$495), just to name a few of the Georgia’s favorites. This little shop is a wonderful addition to a neighborhood where it seems hard to find a happy medium between designer only and novelty. We’re sure you will find just the thing to delight yourself or if they are lucky, a friend.
